Wonderful game.

I found a progression bug - I bought the rocket boot upgrade before the fuel tank upgrade, and I'm now being told to buy the rocket boot upgrade even though I've already got it, and I can no longer progress through the quest.

LESS go full release. Can I have a key?

It is still an Early Access release. Unfortunately, I can not give away keys at this point,  because it would discourage others from buying the game. Sorry!

We are a very small team working hard on this game, so every review is appreciated.

Well within the next 7 days expect new steam download!

One more day, Blastronauts. Prepare for launch.

I'm so hype for the full game 5 day remaining woo yeah

3 days now wooooo

yes....yes..... YESSS

This f*ing game is excelent good amazing extroadnary cooooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!

This is really well made, the controls can be a bit unwieldy at times but I think that actually works in the game's favour in this case, really emphasizing your need for the jetpack, my one complaint besides that and the one thing I think might actually detract from the game is you can kinda sequence break by buying stuff you're not supposed to buy and whatnot, this would normally be fine, but when you need to backtrack to replace something you bought with the stock thing for the game to recognize what you're doing it gets kinda annoying. Otherwise a really good demo, hope the full game has some critters of sorts or the like to, y'know, make it seem less isolated.

This makes me want to play this for hours holy shit

if i would rate this game it would be 100/100 because is well made i wanna play for hours but i think he need more content

I like committing mass strip mining and look at the environmentalist's faces when the next report on the environment comes >:)

This game is realy good. I like it. I need more quests and content to continue playing

wow this game was fun 10/10

This game is super fun! Any chance it will be available for mac?

(+1)

Yes, it is possible. However, I don't own a mac myself, so I would appreciate it if some people who do could join my Discord and help me to test it later:  https://discord.com/invite/aFvE3N3

i loved this game it was super fun

super cool game!I think there is a bug that when you buy a weapon before the quest appears, it doesn't check it as completed

Are you going to bring the full version to itch? (please do, I love the game but my physical computer is too much of a potato to even install steam I have to use a VM which isn't super powerful)

I understand your concern, and it is possible that at some point we will, but not initially. Managing one store is already a lot of work, and the full version is also tightly integrated with Steam services; there is multiplayer and Steam workshop support that I would have to disable. Additionally, I'm not sure if your computer will handle the full version because it is a bit more demanding (CPU wise) than the current Itch version. After all, the world generation is much more advanced. To test it out, you can download the Steam demo in VM, copy the files to a physical computer and it should still open and let you try.

There is going to be multiplayer!? What is planned?

(+1)

Co-op multiplayer is planned. There is already a version in the current Steam demo; however, it has some bugs (I'm working on them).

hay i think I found a bug, I bought the rocket boots before I got the quest thing to get it so now I'm stuck trying to get the quest thing to work

(+1)

Yes, that is a bug, that is currently in the Steam version too. You can pick up the previous jetpack and then the next one again to get unstuck, but I know that it is not perfect.

That is a nice surprise, thanks!

lol wonder what that was

Somehow you managed you make a game better than Destiny 2 and Warframe, and I applaud you for this! I am literally addicted.

This game is amazing! I can totally see it taking off on its full release! Do you know of any indie studios or people looking for new ideas? I have a good game idea, but I barely know how to make a game.  Btw, I love your game!

Hi, thank you for the kind words. If you want to stay in touch and sometimes have a chat then you should join my small Discord group: https://discord.com/invite/aFvE3N3

I just got a bug where you can't move, so I must use the guns recoil just to move, dying doesn't fix it. Is that a problem with my computer or with the game?

Hi,
In the web demo, the player can sometimes get stuck. I've managed to fix it in the new Steam demo, you should try that too.

this was a really good demo i dont know what your plan is for this game but some enemies/bosses and a way to fight them other than a explosive goo blasting gun another thing that would also be cool would be  random natural generating structures

Yep, these things are coming, you can try the new demo on Steam which already has some of these things.

I just discovered your game through SplatterCat's YouTube channel, and it was an incredibly uncanny experience.

Back in 2012, younger me made a mockup of a Mars terraforming game. I kept it all this time thinking that perhaps one day I'd get around to make it.

I'm so glad a much more competent person had a kind of similar idea and actually made it!

I just hope someday you can release it on macOS so I can play it and in a way experience my little dream game :D

(+1)

Thanks!
Your game concept is really cool as well. I think it could be turned into a completely original game. Terraforming in the third person would be cool, but so far Blastronaut doesn't allow to alter the environment other than destroying it. Maybe I will add something in that regard in a future update ;)

Dude I have uncovered every gun got up to 50 000 in coins and even discovered that ore at the very bottom of the map that is a bit like Minecraft and I didn't upgrade the radar because I wanted to play more so I just wanted to say this game is amazing

Thanks! You should also try the new demo on Steam.

this is a school computer but I'm getting a good computer soon Just really really love your game

i just wanted to know how many gun there in the early acess , i have found only 3 guns for now

A lot, I have made a weapon creation system that even allows the players to create their own and share them in the Steam workshop. You can try the current Steam Festival Demo and there are several new guns available.

no like im ment in blastranou

how many are there

(+1)

The BLASTRONAUT game is currently in development and it has not been released in Steam Early Access yet (but it is the plan). The current Web demo that you can see in Itch.io was released more than a year ago, and I think it only has 3 or 4 weapons, I don't really remember how many exactly. At the current moment, there is also a Steam Festival going on, which I have made a new Demo with multiplayer, crafting, enemies and other stuff. It also has more weapons. I recommend trying this new demo if you are interested.

Could you release this on itch? I would love to use all these materials. After 45 minutes of going down, I would love to use all these. also an earlier version of the demo  from like 2 months ago.

I'm currently focused on Steam. Because I'm using Steam multiplayer services, the Itch.IO version would be limited. However, the new Demo version (that includes multiplayer) is coming to Steam Next Festival and it is starting Today.

Ok, thanks for the info!

It is very fun and relaxing to play, i hope it gets a full release soon

this game is a mix of noita and terraria and i love it, please do more!

hope this game will be free kinda sems good and like terraia

Wow! This game is awesome!! Great work!

Very nice controls feel :)

Very good little title you got here, I'm looking forward to it.

To reiterate what others have said, I agree that movement is a bit limited, as well a bit stiff. Up being the only consistently speedy direction you can go. I also had the issue of finding movement very slick, with it being very easy to slip off single-tile pillars, and the icy momentum the character has even on flat ground.

Something I noticed, is that using un-upgraded items was vastly more efficient than using the upgraded versions. Not only in fuel usage, but also in controllability, especially with the weapon, where the rifle wastes far more fuel in a single area where explosions will overlap. As such, that is what I reverted to after purchasing the upgrades, which is why I did not have the issues others brought up regarding not being able to break even with profits vs fuel usage.

Something I would personally suggest, is some way to tell depth other than ores. Due to the ability to see the skybox behind the character at all times, it feels you are perpetually near the surface, making vertical navigation somewhat surreal.

I must state however, as your Steam trailer shows a very different game compared to this demo, these are likely a moot points.

Best of luck on the final product.

(+1)

Thank you for the feedback.
I think the points you are suggesting are still quite relevant and I have yet to solve some of them.

Well I wish you the best in solving them.

super cool

ooh just had a good idea while playing this again

maybe there can be multiple jets and when you get a certain level jet and fuel level you can fly to different planets

oh and for multiple planets make certain points on ground to fly up to a planet

69420/10 game

Very nice! Good job on the self-explanatory nature.

Combining jump with jetpack is very satisfying. However, apart from that, the movement is a bit limited in my opinion -- the jump on its own is very weak (no way to economize fuel), the jetpack is not great for downward/horizontal movement, and it can be difficult  to escape explosions in a direction other than up.

Minor bug: the game doesn't recognize when achieving the objectives out of order (e.g. buying the blaster before collecting 150 stones). The already-achieved objective then stays locked indefinitely.

Since the ore availability is random, it's  possible that in an unlucky strike, one needs a long time (=fuel evaporated) + flies a lot (=fuel spent) + blasts a lot of rocks away (=fuel spent) until ores are found. Sometimes it's barely possible to break-even with the returned ores. Maybe it should be possible to use less efficient ways of movement (or mining), saving fuel, but as mentioned current jump is not that helpful underground. Possibly something like climbing/ropes/ladders/...

All in all, very cool mechanic with a lot of potential! :)

also if you complete a thing before the quest (buying jet before the quest for example) just go back and get the starter jet and go back to the other jet and it completes ques

quest* AAAAA

(1 edit)

I got down to gold level in the mines but can't find where to sell anything below the white ore

i challenge myself to get 100k

progress update

progress update 2

progress update 3

challenge complete

I will get as much money as possible and mine every ore in the world

challenge update: I keep getting killed and having to restart, on the count of you lose half of your spoils when you die. so its gonna be a long challenge.

I am postponing the challenge because I just realized how long this will take

I also just read the game desc. and saw that it the world is infinite

Nice!
There is a technical limit for the current world, and it is smaller than Minecraft for example. But I suggest postponing this challenge until the full game is released because it will be a much cooler challenge then.

(+1)

ok, and just a suggestion, but can you maybe add something in the full version that allows you to place 2 beacons, that upon interaction, teleport the player to and from the locations of the beacons at the cost of 1 bar of energy

(+1)

What a fun game! A few things though. The resource management portion needs to be re-worked. Right now, the only thing that happens is you die and have to go back to get all your stuff. Oh, and the beeping. Also, why are there lives in a game with no enemies? It's just there because most games have it. The exploration aspect should really be the main thing in this game, and it already does it really well. I don't even think it needs enemies, just more stuff to find. Also, maybe I didn't explore this enough, but the stuff you mine needs to have a lot of variety regarding what you can do with it. All I did was sell stone and red stone, and I beat the demo. On my Wishlist! I really hope that when I play this it'll be even better than it is now!

(+1)

Thank you for the feedback!

Enemies have been a widely requested feature that I think I need to add. But I agree that resource management and exploration should be the core of this game.

The health (lives) is intended to be another upgrade path that helps you to survive a little longer when using more dangerous weapons.

(1 edit)

Of course!

I often play demos of games and get bored, just because of the unengaging design. This game is so simple, yet so captivating. Enemies would be amazing, I just think that they shouldn't just be monsters who walk back and forth in a little chamber in the ground. I'd love to see creative enemies, like leeches, or vultures, or moles that dig around freely.

More weapons would be awesome as well. Looks like you really know what you're doing. I can't wait to play it! Thanks for reaching out!

super fun game! would be fun to have creatures, plantation, objects, inventions around to explore aswell and some enemies to fight or obstacles to dodge to get better minerals and the controls for the jetback could be less wild. lovely visuals! had a blast playing

(+2)

I am looking forward how the game will be  progressing in development. Definitely I suggest to try it, even for a few minutes.

Web version worked fine for me. The quality of the game is great. Nice graphics, animations and music. Controls are fine too. I was stuck a few times between the rocks, but I guess you just need to be careful, and even if so you can still blast the rocks a bit to get out.

I did not have time for a longer gameplay, so I am not sure what is inside after a longer play time. Some NPCs and / or enemies would be nice to see.

Keep up the good work!
